Hawaiian BBQ Ribs - pork ribs glazed with pineapple soy barbecue sauce

Pork ribs lacquered with a sweet pineapple barbecue sauce.

Sweet, sticky, island-style

Slow-tender ribs glazed with a pineapple-kissed barbecue sauce — sweet, tangy, and finger-licking Hawaiian style.

Step by stepInstructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the ribs; rub with the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Wrap in foil and bake at 300°F for 2 hours.
  3. Simmer all the sauce ingredients together 15 minutes.
  4. Unwrap the ribs, brush generously with sauce, and bake uncovered 45 minutes more, saucing every 15 minutes.
  5. Rest 10 minutes, slice, and serve with extra sauce.

💡 Chef tips & storage

The foil braise keeps them fall-off-the-bone. The last 15 minutes of saucing give the lacquered finish.
