A tall, golden swirl bread of sweet yeast dough rolled with cinnamon, sugar, raisins, and walnuts — the festive bread of Carinthia, baked in its namesake pan.
Carinthia’s celebration bread
Reindling gets its name from the Reindl, the round pan it’s baked in, and it’s the great festive bread of Carinthia — served at Easter, weddings, and harvest feasts. The spiral of cinnamon sugar and nuts is sliced like a cake and eaten with coffee or a glass of wine.
