A traditional Puerto Rican drink — Coquito is the island’s coconut eggnog, a velvety blend of coconut milk, coconut cream, condensed milk and rum spiced with cinnamon. It is shaken, blended and poured at Christmas gatherings, where no celebration is complete without a glass. Rich, creamy and dangerously easy to sip, it is liquid holiday in a cup.

Step by stepInstructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth and frothy.
- Pour into a large bottle or pitcher with a tight seal and refrigerate at least 4 hours, ideally overnight, so the flavors meld.
- Shake or stir well before serving, since the coconut solids settle.
- Pour into small glasses, dust with cinnamon, and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
💡 Chef tips & storage
Adjust the rum to taste, or leave it out for a family-friendly version. Coquito keeps refrigerated for up to two weeks, so shake well before every pour.
