Chicken Caesar Wrap with grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, parmesan and caesar dressing

The Caesar salad was invented in 1924 by Italian-American restaurateur Caesar Cardini in Tijuana, Mexico, using ingredients on hand during a busy Fourth of July weekend. Decades later, American kitchens adapted the classic salad into a portable wrap format, popular in delis and cafes throughout the late 20th century.

Crisp, creamy, and perfectly portable

Grilled chicken, romaine, parmesan, and creamy Caesar dressing are rolled into a soft tortilla for a portable take on the classic salad.

Step by stepInstructions

  1. Season and grill the chicken until cooked through, then slice.
  2. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
  3. Toss the romaine with Caesar dressing and parmesan.
  4. Divide the dressed romaine among the tortillas.
  5. Top with sliced chicken and crushed croutons.
  6. Roll tightly, tucking in the sides, and slice in half to serve.

💡 Chef tips & storage

Toss the lettuce with dressing just before assembling so the wraps don't get soggy. Wrap tightly in parchment or foil if packing for lunch on the go.
